​David Abella, Born and Raised in Honolulu,Hawaii​
Chef Abella started his career as a protégé to Roy Yamaguchi (Euro-Asian pioneer),Roy is the single major influence in his culinary career along with his right hand man Chef Gordon Hopkins
David  has over 30 years in the culinary field. 23  of those years as an Executive Chef,
20 years with Roy’s Restaurants. On the Corporate level, David was involved in all aspects of R&D, purchasing, small wares, equipment and design.
​He was recruited to Asia as the  Chef de Cuisine for Felix Restaurant Designed by Phillip Stark in the renowned Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong.
​He's traveled  across the country with Roy for over 15 years, doing Wine Dinners and special events such as Masters of Food & Wine in Pebble Beach from  Korea, Italy and across the US​​
David specializes in cooking ​Asian Cuisines, but is just as deft with Italian, French and Mediterranean cuisines.​​
